Do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven. Luke 10:20.
You must be born again. John 3:7.
Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished.” And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit. John 19: 30.
And continuing our 351 Old Testament prophecies, promises of God, fulfilled in Jesus Christ, we come to number 113: A special anointing by the Holy Spirit. Psalm 45:7: You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of joy above Your fellows. And, Matthew 3:16; Hebrews 1:9: After being baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove and lighting on Him. “You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness above Your companions.”
The wounding we receive in this fallen world that sears our heart and mind goes deeper than any physical pain. It isn’t ordinary pain we can shake off. It’s the kind of pain needing our Savior. That’s why He came. There is a wholeness Jesus, the Son, Creator God, our Savior, brings. Wholeness as in our pain can begin to be healed from within by His extraordinary love as we turn to Him and choose His Presence guiding us to wholeness. Every pain and wounding we experience is because of the darkness of wrong choices, ours and those of others. We know it on a deep level we try to bury and ignore so we don’t feel guilty. “This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.” John 3:19-21. Only with God and His extraordinary love can we begin to find the healing we so desperately need and long for – the healing that brings wholeness with and in Creator God – Father, Son, Spirit. The healing that begins within us and that trusts Him for the healing needed in others. The healing that lifts us and brings hope. The healing that trusts the Light of His Love. Jesus came and did what was necessary we could not do for ourselves or for others. And He told us “It is finished” and now it is our turn to trust Him and in trusting Him be born again – of water and the Spirit – again – what is necessary we cannot do for ourselves or for others but that the Holy Spirit can do as we turn to Him. The extraordinary love of God heals all pain and begins where it must – in our own hearts and minds turned to God. He’s here. Always.
