For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty Savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With His love, He will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs. Zephaniah 3:17.

So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and he who seeks, finds; and to him who knocks, it will be opened. Luke 11:9-10.

And continuing our 351 Old Testament prophecies, promises of God, fulfilled in Jesus Christ, we come to number 56: “I will be His Father, He…My Son.” 1 Chronicles 17:13: “I will be his father and he shall be My son; and I will not take My lovingkindness away from him, as I took it from him who was before you.” And, Hebrews 1:5: For to which of the angels did He ever say, “You are My Son, today I have begotten You?” And again, “I will be a Father to Him and He shall be a Son to Me”?

I’m never quite sure what I will write in this blog as I sit down at the computer. As I read my devotionals, as I think about things I read the day before that had such an impact, I find there a beginning of a thought and then I pray for God’s help and direction. This morning was different. As I sat in prayer trying to quiet my own thoughts to make room for His, He helped me see the weight I carry is fear. Fear of messing up, fear of being wrong, fear for those I love and fear for our world. And I am just one person. Imagine the fears God hears spoken and all the fears we are too afraid to name. And we are so vulnerable even as we try to project strength. In a conversation yesterday it helped to think through why we are so fearful even as we know and trust God. Him we trust. Uncertainty Principle and Chaos Theory are a reality in our physical universe and still we are held together and sustained by Creator God – Father, Son, Spirit. And the amazing thing within our close relationship with God is that we lose the fear of His knowing us in all our fears and imperfections. Because it’s as we come to Him in trust borne in all the times we come to Him in prayer and need, that we find His peace calming our fears. He doesn’t condemn. He helps us see His love and that is everything! And each time I tell Him I trust Him, it goes deeper into the recesses of my soul, spirit, heart and mind. With His love, He calms all our fears! I can still try to carry the weight of fear but I know Who to bring that fear to as I experience it rearing its head. Him I trust! Uncertainty and chaos are part of our world and Creator God is here giving His strength so needed as we navigate all the fears and uncertainties. We are known and we are loved and He is our Help always! I pray you find His love guiding you forward and helping you see Him right where He has always been loving you and me and the children He created to live in relationship with Him and with one another. When you find Him you find Life. And, you will find Him walking with you through absolutely everything and there is no Love greater or help more needed than God with us. He calms our fears and gives us His strength in everything. Are you willing to ask?
