See Through the Eyes of Faith God’s Blessing of Love and Understanding

Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” Isaiah 30:21.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Romans 8:35.

To you who are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you. Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you. Luke 6:27-28.

And continuing our 351 Old Testament prophecies, promises of God, fulfilled in Jesus Christ, we come to number 35: It is the blood that makes atonement. Leviticus 17:11: For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood by reason of the life that makes atonement. And, Romans 3:23-24; 1 John 1:7: For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus…But if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.

I confess of late I have been consumed with worry for our world. I look out and see a world of people who are lost in the effects of hate, lies, corruption, vindictiveness, violence, greed, emptiness, loneliness, fear, anxiety – the birthpangs of a fallen, dying world? I think of Jesus, the Son of Man, who didn’t shy away from those “others”, condemned as sinners just as they were taught to think and act by their religious leaders and the long history of their past. That past is alive and active in our world today. Scripture gives warnings needed so we can live in this fallen world and choose the right way of God. Reading today in My Utmost for His Highest by Oswald Chambers: “”Shall tribulation…?” Tribulation is never a grand, highly welcome event; but whatever it may be – whether exhausting, irritating, or simply causing some weakness – it is not able to “separate us from the love of Christ.” Never allow tribulations or the “cares of this world” to separate you from remembering that God loves you (Matthew 13:22). “Shall…distress…?” Can God’s love continue to hold fast, even when everyone and everything around us seems to be saying that His love is a lie, and that there is no such thing as justice? “Shall…famine…?” Can we not only believe in the love of God but also be “more than conquerors,” even while we are being starved? Either Jesus Christ is a deceiver, having deceived even Paul, or else some extraordinary thing happens to someone who holds onto the love of God when the odds are totally against him. Logic is silenced in the face of each of these things which come against him. Only one thing can account for it – the love of God in Christ Jesus. “Out of the wreck I rise” every time.”

I know Jesus Himself talked about the separating of the sheep and the goats; the wheat and the tares; those compassionate and those who were not; those who trusted Him and followed His voice and those who did not. He talked about those going away into eternal punishment and those going into eternal life. Do we use those verses as weapons? Sinful Others. All that we, and that everyone else, does to the least of them, we do to Him! And our world today? What do you see being played out? Only God’s Love is able to bring the blessing of understanding we each of us so desperately need. I need to pray for God’s blessing upon all of us – and trust Him. I don’t want to bet against the love of Creator God – Father, Son, Spirit! For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus. We have all sinned…and …My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous – and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world. 1 John 2:1-2. But if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. Why do we think we will need God showing us the way after Jesus returns – whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way – walk in it.” Understanding takes time with God helping us. Thank God Creator God IS! He alone is Holy and Worthy and Willing and Compassionate and He is our Light showing us the way to His Love!
