There Is Time To Learn

I want to share something personal with you in the hopes you can understand how much God loves you. After praying this morning, I sat quietly in an attitude of quiet waiting to hear His words to me so I could write them down. I’d like to share them with you.

Be still. Wait patiently. I am never in a hurry. Walk with me don’t run. Be with Me in quiet and peace. I have much to tell you about My love. My love is gentle. My love is healing. You have nothing to prove. You are loved. Walk with Me in My love for you. There is time to learn. Be with Me.

That phrase there is time to learn stayed with me. He was telling me to slow down. I’ve always had a sense that time was of the essence and there was never enough time. There are many well-meaning Christians who will have you believe you must come to Jesus now and if you don’t you won’t be saved. Be saved before you die.

But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:8-9.

Walk with me in My love for you. My love is gentle. My love is healing.

I hope you take the time to sit quietly with God. Turn off the phone, the TV, the distractions all around and be still. Talk to Him. In quiet expectation wait patiently. It’s difficult to sit quietly waiting because we are so used to doing. As you keep still ask Him to help you know His will for you. Then wait. Proverbs 3:6 New Living Translation (NLT): Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

I’m not special. He doesn’t speak to me because of anything I do. He speaks to me because I’ve made my heart ready by longing for a personal relationship with Him. He wants a loving, personal relationship with you. He’s not in a hurry. But He is there. Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me. Revelation 3:20. Walk with Him in His love for you.
