You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13.

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33.

This morning in prayer God told me to not be misled by the wisdom of this world. Our Creator God – Father, Son, Spirit, has seen it all. He has seen the “wisdom” of every age of mankind. What wisdom do we hold dear and important? He also told me to pray. Pray for those suffering. Pray for His will to be done. When we go to God in prayer, are we not partnering with Him? Imagine! We can partner with God who created the rains falling outside, the soft light filtering through the rain, the tiniest of insects with the most delicate of wings, the towering trees of every kind, the streams of water and lakes and oceans filled with life so varied and beautiful…with every animal, bird and creature…and with all of us. And when we pray we draw near to God who loves us.

The psalmist understood. In drawing nearer to God he can envision God’s love and plan for all of us. Psalm 85: You, Lord, showed favor to your land; you restored the fortunes of Jacob…You forgave the iniquity of your people and covered all their sins…You set aside all your wrath and turned from your fierce anger…I will listen to what God the Lord says; he promises peace to his people, his faithful servants – but let them not turn to folly…Surely his salvation is near to those who fear him, that his glory may dwell in our land…v. 1, 2, 3, 8, 9. That His glory may dwell in our land – by dwelling in our hearts and minds! And then? Love and faithfulness meet together; righteousness and peace kiss each other. Faithfulness springs forth from the earth, and righteousness looks down from heaven. The Lord will indeed give what is good, and our land will yield its harvest. Righteousness goes before him and prepares the way for his steps. v. 10-13.

There is no wisdom in this world in comparison to the wisdom of our God. How we need His wisdom! You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart. And the wisdom and love of our God will never fail us or let us down. You can partner with Him today. In prayer begin a walk with Him as He partners with you and brings you peace and hope. That’s my prayer. That His Spirit will open our hearts and minds and bring us Home to Him. Home. What a beautiful word!
