Trust In the Lord With All Your Heart and Know His Love Is Real

I can do nothing on My own initiative. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is just, because I do not seek My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. John 5:30.

We come to the last chapter of the Gospel of Mark, Mark 16. Remember Jesus has been laid in the tomb of Joseph of Arimathea. And once the Sabbath has passed, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, brought spices, so that they might come and anoint Him. Very early on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb when the sun had risen. They were saying to one another, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance of the tomb?” Looking up, they saw that the stone had been rolled away, although it was extremely large. Entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting at the right wearing a white robe; and they were amazed. And he said to them, “Do not be amazed; you are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He has risen; He is not here; behold, here is the place where they laid Him. But go, tell His disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you to Galilee; there you will see Him, just as He told you.’” They went out and fled from the tomb, for trembling and astonishment had gripped them; and they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid. v. 1-8. I try to imagine what it was like for these women, and for everyone who was there during the events surrounding Jesus’ life with us. When Jesus raised Lazarus, Jesus raised Him! – and He was there with them all afterward to help them understand! But now it’s just the women and they saw Jesus die on the cross. Can we stop and put ourselves in their place? They had no control over the events of the days before. Jesus was resolute in His going to Jerusalem and He told them beforehand what would befall Him there. And it has all happened but how could they grasp the import of why in its fullness? How they must have longed for Him to explain things to them clearly because when He spoke to them it made sense, which made the absence of Him all the more painfully acute. And that is the amazing thing about Creator God – Father, Son, Spirit. He IS. He still IS! The Creator and Sustainer of all things is our authority and Author of Truth. He knows. He knows still! Sometimes we need to wait in trust to understand. And to wait with God in trust is to be faithful to Him and the love He has for us, with the unfolding of the Truth in all its fullness in its time. Jesus the Son knew, with the Father and with the Holy Spirit, what would be from before the creation at the beginning of us. What would be was needed and is needed still. Do you trust Him? He is here with us always and events are still unfolding. They had the amazing blessing of Creator God the Son with them in the flesh. We have the blessing of Creator God the Holy Spirit with us teaching us as we are willing to receive His love and comfort and teaching. And the Father? Creator God is One!
