Let God’s Love Fill Your Soul

(Azariah) went out to meet King Asa as he was returning from battle. “Listen to me, Asa! Listen, armies of Judah and Benjamin!” he shouted. “The Lord will stay with you as long as you stay with Him! Whenever you look for Him, you will find Him. But if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.” 2 Chronicles 15:2 TLB.

I love this chapter, Isaiah 2. Can you imagine being the prophet of Creator God – Father…Son…Spirit, and seeing in vision a future time so needed for every one of us? This is what Isaiah son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem: In the last days the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and all nations will stream to it. Many people will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us His ways, so that we may walk in His paths.” The law will go out from Zion, the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. He will judge between the nations and will settle disputes for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore. Come, descendants of Jacob, let us walk in the light of the Lord. v. 1-5. Let us walk in the light of the Lord. And then Isaiah continues with what will be needed that we can walk in the light of the Lord…The arrogance of man will be brought low and human pride humbled; the Lord alone will be exalted in that day, and the idols will totally disappear…Stop trusting in mere humans, who have but a breath in their nostrils. Why hold them in esteem? v. 17-18, 22.

There is something very special in seeking God. And when you feel His presence, you find comfort. There is a peace with God because with Him all turmoil is stilled. You can breathe. You can talk with Him. You can share your fears and worries and know they are lifted. You don’t have to walk alone. You don’t have to fear a future where He isn’t with you because that does not exist. Our God is always with us. He will begin a work in us that brings His peace and His love and our hope in Him. Come…let us walk in the light of the Lord and His love and guidance! He’s here, always! Let His love fill your soul and bring you to Him who loves you. Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. Exodus 14:13.
