Thank You, Lord!

While Jeremiah was still confined in the courtyard of the guard, the word of the Lord came to him a second time: “This is what the Lord says, He who made the earth, the Lord who formed it and established it – the Lord is His name: ‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’” Jeremiah 33:1-3.

“And all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of Man will be accomplished”…But they understood none of these things. Luke 18:31, 34.

Last night on Zoom, our group continued watching The Chosen together with pauses frequently to talk about what we were seeing. It still amazes me that we have written in Scripture from beginning to end what will be. Creator God – Father…Son…Spirit…has revealed Himself and His love and purpose for us. His covenant promises stand. I’m learning to trust God and know that even though I don’t know what is ahead, He knows every step. As I walk with Him, that pathway is illuminated step by step. Thank You, Lord! You don’t leave us in darkness. You help us grow in trust and hope and love for You and for one another – step by step. The disciples couldn’t understand what differed from what they thought would be. It’s hard to turn away from what we think is and trust what God is doing. They lived the experience of what Jesus plainly told them would come to be. I am glad we get to see a dramatization of what that might have been like for the disciples because we are just like them!

And our chapter, Proverbs 21A person may think their own ways are right, but the Lord weighs the heart…To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice…Haughty eyes and a proud heart – the unplowed field of the wicked – produce sin…The wicked crave evil; their neighbors get no mercy from them…Whoever pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor…The is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the Lord…v. 2, 3, 4, 10, 21, 30. We have seen that over and over in Scripture. God’s way will prevail. I don’t know what will happen tomorrow or the day after that. No one does. And if you ask, God will be with you every step. He will be whether we ask or not but how much better when we walk with God with us. Thank You, Lord! Thank You. Help us to seek You and know the comfort of Your presence loving and guiding us.
