The voice of the Lord causes the oaks to whirl, and strips the forest bare; and in His temple all say, “Glory!” The Lord sits enthroned over the flood, the Lord sits enthroned as king forever. May the Lord give strength to His people! Psalm 29:9-11 NRSV.
See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:19.
A faith and knowledge resting on the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time. Titus 1:2.
Last night I went to Creator God – Father, Son, Spirit, in prayer knowing my heart was not right and that I was judging harshly. Where else can I go for understanding not of my limited capacity for love? I’m always troubled until I bring everything in me to God. He reminded me to stop judging and trust His love for me and for them. And this chapter, Proverbs 8, filled with wisdom we cannot discover without God who is Wisdom. Does not wisdom call out? Does not understanding raise her voice? At the highest point along the way, where the paths meet, she takes her stand…v. 1-2. Wisdom and understanding meet! The Lord brought me forth as the first of His works, before His deeds of old; I was formed long ago, at the very beginning, when the world came to be. When there were no watery depths, I was given birth, when there were no springs overflowing with water; before the mountains were settled in place, before the hills, I was given birth, before He made the world or its fields or any of the dust of the earth. I was there when He set the heavens in place, when He marked out the horizon on the face of the deep, when He established the clouds above and fixed securely the fountains of the deep, when He gave the sea its boundary so the waters would not overstep His command, and when He marked out the foundations of the earth. Then I was constantly at His side, I was filled with delight day after day, rejoicing always in His presence, rejoicing in His whole world and delighting in mankind….Now then, my children, listen to me; blessed are those who keep my ways. Listen to my instruction and be wise; do not disregard it. Blessed are those who listen to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway. For those who find me find life and receive favor from the Lord. But those who fail to find me harm themselves; all who hate me love death. v. 22-36.
When we look at the creation we can see, stop and consider who it was who created it and marvel at the wisdom it took to create even one tiny part of it. He who created all we can see and all we cannot see can surely understand His children every one and understand every need that drives us to Him for help in understanding. I come to Him discouraged and He gives me hope in Him. A better place for me is with my God who comforts me and reminds me He is working for our good in Him. I may see only a tangled mess. He sees a child in need of His love and care. We are loved by the Creator God. Let that truth settle deep in your heart and soul…a better place with our God. Only then can we begin to trust Him for all of us. And in His temple all say, “Glory!” A journey toward understanding and worth every step with Him!
