You Are Loved By God and That Is Everything!

In these last days He has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, and through whom He made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful word. Hebrews 1:2-3.

Beyond all question, the mystery of godliness is great: He appeared in a body, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory. 1 Timothy 3:16.

You asked, “Who is this that obscures my counsel without knowledge?” Surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know. Job 42:3.

I love the mornings, a sacred time of being with Creator God – Father, Son, Spirit. I read a chapter of Scripture, devotionals that expand upon the glorious love of God, I sit in prayer thankful for Him and pour out my heart in gratefulness for the understanding that because He created, we exist. We are because He is. The animals I love, the early morning light, the creation longing to be free and rejoicing with Him, is because God is love and He created us to love. Even trials we are so afraid of have their purpose to refine us and remove all that is harmful. Can you think of things that are harmful? And this psalm, Psalm 148, tells us to praise Him! Praise the Lord from the heavens; praise Him in the heights above. Praise Him, all His angels; praise Him, all His heavenly hosts. Praise Him, sun and moon; praise Him, all you shining stars. Praise Him, you highest heavens and you waters above the skies. Let them praise the name of the Lord, for at His command they were created, and He established them for ever and ever – He issued a decree that will never pass away. v. 1-6. Think of the vastness of the creation! Praise the Lord from the earth, you great sea creatures and all ocean depths, lightning and hail, snow and clouds, stormy winds that do His bidding, you mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars, wild animals and all cattle, small creatures and flying birds, kings of the earth and all nations, you princes and all rulers on earth, young men and women, old men and children. Let them praise the name of the Lord, for His name alone is exalted; His splendor is above the earth and the heavens. And He has raised up for His people a horn, the praise of all His faithful servants, of Israel, the people close to His heart. Praise the Lord. v. 7-14.

And when I sit with Him in prayer, I find His peace in His purpose and will for all of us. I don’t know why evil has to be. I don’t understand why we exalt ourselves when we created nothing that exists and cannot sustain anything. He reminds me to draw near to Him and in Him find the comfort, strength and hope I long for – and to trust Him. He knows what He is doing – all of creation testifies to that truth! And He loves you and me and all He created. Can we rejoice in that? We are loved by Creator God and that is Good! Look at His beautiful creation. He did that! Thank You, Lord! I trust You.
