Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26.

The Spirit helps us in our weakness. Romans 8:26.

Nothing can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:39.

This morning in prayer I realized that with Him I am okay. With Him the world and everything in it makes sense. How can I pray that? Because in God nothing is wasted and everything is redeemed. Have you not experienced that? Every experience in my life, good and bad, has brought me to this place where I know God is with me. Remember and rejoice because it is all valuable, this living of our lives. Does not sorrow help us appreciate joy all the more?

We see sorrow in this final chapter of the Book of 2 Kings, 2 Kings 25. Jerusalem is under siege for 2 years, famine is so severe and finally the city wall is broken through and destroyed. Everything valuable is taken to Babylon including the people and only the poorest few are left to tend the vineyards and fields. The Temple and all important buildings are burned. Judah is no more. We read about this time but they lived through it. And yet…nothing is wasted.

What are we living through? Our lives matter to God. Does He matter to you? We live in a world that is so busy and noisy all the time. If we take moments to sit quietly and think about our lives can we appreciate where God has intervened for our good? Can we begin to appreciate that everything good is a gift from God? Hold fast to the good! Love of family; help when we’re most vulnerable and afraid; direction when we are unsure of our way; peace when all is in turmoil around us. Knowing God has us always. Nothing can separate us from His love. He helps us in our weakness. He loves us.

In this life of ours we will experience good and bad. No one is immune. When we ask Him to help us He’s here. Absolutely nothing will separate you from God’s love for you. Not even you. When we live our life with Him we never walk alone. Isn’t that what we all truly want? Someone who understands everything we have been through and loves and helps us. With man this is impossible because no one can possibly understand all you have been through or fill that deep need for understanding and help. God does. He doesn’t turn away and when we turn to Him, we find Him right where He has always been. Now imagine that truth for every single person. Thank You, Lord, for so great a love always. We can’t fathom such a love but You are Love and we can turn to You and walk with You on a journey that is our life with You always. And guess what? He wants us all! Can you imagine? With God all things are possible!
