Yesterday I was listening to Hillsong Worship in the car and the beautiful song So Will I (100 Billion X) written by songwriters Benjamin William Hastings, Michael John Fatkin and Joel Timothy Houston played on my CD. As I tried to sing along I knew I was missing beautiful words so I printed them out before I started this blog this morning. I couldn’t stop hearing that song! A couple of the verses that spoke to my heart:

And as You speak a hundred billion galaxies are born – I can see your heart in everything You’ve made…And as you speak a hundred billion creatures catch your breath…I can see Your heart in everything You say…And as you speak a hundred billion failures disappear – I can see your heart in everything You’ve done – Every part designed in a work of art called love – If You gladly chose surrender so will I – I can see Your heart eight billion ways – Every precious one – A child you died to save – If you gave Your life to love them so will I

That song and those lyrics put into perspective God’s plan of love. In Judges 14 Samson, who was chosen by God, was not perfect. But we can see God’s heart of love for him and for us. We can begin to see how very patient God is in working His plan for us through each heart and it takes time. We may be oblivious to Him but He is not oblivious to us.

Do you ever think that your life is your own? As you speak do ever consider the outcome of your words? Did Samson? Do I? Samson lived around 1075-1055 B.C. according to the timeline at the front of the Book of Judges. That was a long time ago and yet he was alive and vital just as you and I are today. Our lives have meaning. God gives them meaning. And as He speaks our hearts are born anew in Him. Are we listening?

And as He speaks…hear His love…he’s speaking to me and you!
