I confess when I wake up each morning and prepare to read a new Chapter, I sometimes worry how will I blog? And then I read His words to us. How can I not blog? This morning from one of my devotionals the Scripture reference from Isaiah 40:30 which I recognized from watching the movie last night where v. 28-31 are quoted at the very beginning of the movie and my heart sings. Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Have you ever been grateful for the atmosphere we move in? I know that sounds weird but bear with me. Have you ever appreciated the morning air that feels fresh and infused with promise? Have you ever walked at twilight and felt the hush of quiet that felt holy? Have you ever tried to consider EVERYTHING, I mean EVERYTHING that God has made? The variety of everything is astounding! This morning in prayer I thanked God for giving us eyes for sight, ears for sound, noses for smelling, receptors for touch so that we can fully experience the creation He has made in all of its beauty alive and active, powerful with energy abounding all around us.
And what does God ask in Deuteronomy 16? Remember. Celebrate Festivals honoring Him and the bounty He provides and celebrate together with one another and with Him. Can you imagine the joy God feels with us as we celebrate Him and all He does for us? He blesses us with everything we see, everything we eat, every joy we experience in Life. He is the giver of Life.
I want to experience joy in Life He has given me and I want to experience that joy with Him. For the Lord your God will bless you in all your harvest and in all the work of your hands, and your joy will be complete. v. 15.
Remember. Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. We cannot fathom His understanding and wisdom, how could we? But we can remember and rejoice and celebrate with Him EVERYTHING. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. And with Him, we will encounter everything through His eyes of love for His creation and for us. Can we celebrate that?
