This morning I was reading in 2 Peter 2. Peter was warning the brethren that God judges and will judge everyone according to what they have done. He didn’t spare the ancient world from the flood, Sodom and Gomorrah, angels who sinned. If this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment. This is especially true of those who follow the corrupt desire of the flesh and despise authority. v. 9-10.
I’m not a Minister and so feel inadequate to expound on things so far above my understanding. In the commentary below the passages, was the warning: Some people would have us believe that God will save all people because he is so loving. But it is foolish to think that God will cancel the last judgment. Don’t ever minimize the certainty of God’s judgment on those who rebel against him. (NIV).
I don’t ever want to mislead anyone about God. I have too much respect for Him. He’s teaching me to let Him be God and trust Him…in every outcome.
I trust that He knows what He’s doing and always has and always will. We’re the ones who cannot see the whole picture. We live in and experience the world as it relates to us. God is in charge of every single human, angel, created being. I’m so grateful He’s in charge and not me or anyone else.
I love God’s love and feel a heart need to share that with you. I leave all judgment to Him who is righteous, Holy, true. He alone knows our hearts. He alone can heal those hearts and far be it from me to say otherwise. I am learning the most important truth there is. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16. That’s up to God and each individual person…not me.
